Introduction

Some of you may know my fiancé, the guy in charge of readcomicbooks.net. Or maybe you don't! But you should know, he's a great guy.

He's the reason I'm into a lot of the things I'm into now. I mean, I've always been a little geeky - but I guess you could say he's definitely brought it out in me. For example, I've always loved Marvel movies, but until he came along, I never thought I would pick up a comic book! And now, just like him, I have a stack of them on the table next to our bed - of course his stack is a LOT bigger!

He introduced me to a lot of the comic book titles I enjoy now. I've always been drawn to strong female characters, but never really realized how much I would enjoy the actual books. Like a lot of comic fans out there, my favorites right now are Batwoman and Batgirl... and I also absolutely LOVE She-Hulk and Catwoman. Aside from those female characters, the Oz series is obviously another favorite of mine.

Aside from what I've read, I've got to say, Batman is like...my all-time favorite. Ever since I was young I've enjoyed the movies and everything - and now I'm 24 and he still continues to be a favorite of mine. In fact, Tyler and I both have Batman symbol tattoos - for each other, of course, and all for our love of Batman! Hell...as I'm writing this, I'm even wearing a Batman hoodie!

I also have a son, Aden, who is turning 5 in two days! I'm proud that he knows as much about comic characters as he does - that's definitely not something he learned from his dad! Aden's all-time favorite comic character is Spiderman. Ever since he was about 2 years old, he's been a big fan. He's also pretty crazy about Batman (what else would you expect?). Aden's room is entirely decked out in Spiderman stuff - his bedding, retro comic cover posters, wall decals, and even a bed tent - that's something I would've never been able to put together before Tyler came along!

Right now Aden's favorite character is Marvel's Vision - kind of unexpected, I know. Tyler and I got hooked on buying those Tokidoki Marvel collectibles, and ended up with a Vision neither of us really wanted. Aden decided he wanted it and now he loves Vision. We took him to one of the local comic shops and let him pick out a book from the kid's section - he hasn't been interested in reading a lot yet, so I wanted to try and boost his interest - and we actually found a Vision kids' comic! We haven't picked it up to try to read it yet, but I still think it's cool that we found it.

Anyway, this is mainly going to be about my adventures alongside Tyler, and discovering my own love for all things geeky. I hope you enjoy!
